The Harley Davidson Sportster Seventy Two takes its name sake from old Route 72. This road is better known as Whittier Blvd. in East Los Angeles, the birthplace of choppers, customs, and cruising. That said, you could not be faulted for thinking that the name was possibly a nod to the year 1972 - an era from which this bike derives much of its style from. While not a true chopper, the 30.1 degree rake and front forks combined with the 21" front wheel suggest a stretched look. The bike is low with just 5.2-inches of ground clearance and a laden seat height just shy of 26 inches. Power is supplied by the 73.4 cubic inch Evolution v-twin motor, one of Harley's most reliable and longest running motor designs. The seat, sissy bar, classic 2.1 gal peanut tank, and insane apes complete the look. The paint on this bike is a beautiful gloss black with a candy coat that absolutely pops when the sun hits it. With just 6,548 miles on the odometer, this bike is in excellent shape and ready to get back out on the road.
